Objectives & Maintenance Schedule

OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish a day to day working relationship with the landscape contractor.

Monthly walk through with landscape contractor to maintain landscape community standards.

  • Check for missing, dead plants, shrubs, and trees.

  • Check for irrigation problems, dry areas of grass or plants.

  • Check for unapproved and invasive plantings.

  • Check compliance with all Pelican Sound ARC guidelines.

 

Provide community with work/service schedules and updates to be performed.

  • Accountability for completion and cost efficiency of landscape services.

 

Use Communication to keep everyone informed.

  • To the extent possible, use Gleneagles Internet Web system to communicate with residents, property management, landscape contractor, committees, and board members.

 

Communicate with main Pelican Sound ARC regarding landscaping issues.

 

LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE 

MOWING/EGE LINE TRIM

  • Weekly - April thru October

  • Bi-Weekly - November thru March

 

HEDGE & BUSH PRUNING

  • Monthly

 

FERTILIZER

  • Turf, shrubs & ground cover, palms & juvenile trees - March, June, September, & additional turf in December

 

MULCH

  • Applied in November

 

GRASS WEED CONTROL

  • Applied - January, February, March, April, October, November & December

 

TURF & PLANT INSECT AND DISEASE CONTROL

  • Applied - January, March, May, July, September, November

 

IRRIGATION TESTING

  • Monthly

 

PROPERTY INSPECTION/ WALK THRU

  • Monthly

 

PALM TREE HEAVY PRUNING

  • All palm trees are pruned in August.

 

LIVE OAK THINNING

  • 1/3 of oak trees pruned in Oct/Nov.
